You know something funny? I remember Aaron and Maddy’s engagement session like it was yesterday. (Probably because it was one of my favorites, let’s be honest.) These two were definitely one of these most shy couples I have ever worked with. Which some may say that is a bad thing. Nope! I actually LOVE shy couples! It reminds me why I became a photographer in the first place. I wanted to be able to show people that getting your picture taken doesn’t have to be something you dread. It can be something you look forward to because you know I am going to capture you in a natural yet beautiful way. My goal throughout the entire session is to bring out the best parts of you. Taking Maddy and Aaron’s engagement photos was like learning how to ride a bike. They hadn’t done it before but they were super excited to try something new and out of their comfort zone. After a little while they started to get the hang of it, then by the end they were PROS! That right there is hands down my favorite part about being a photographer.
Fast forward to their wedding and I couldn’t be more impressed. I truly didn’t believe these two could be any more perfect. Well that is what I get for thinking that. Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing. Every single part. The details, the people, the decor, literally everything. Their friends and family just adored them, which warmed my heart. Listening to the toasts and speeches, again one of my favorites. Hearing the hilarious stories they told about one another. This was definitely a wedding for the books and I am so happy I got to be there and provide them with images to remember their day for the rest of their lives.
Maddy and Aaron, thank you so much for having me on your special day. I knew the moment I walked into that hair salon that your day was going to be wonderful. It was so great to meet your families and see how much they all adored you both. I wish you both nothing but the best as you enter in this next chapter in your lives.
Every girls dream is to have their man look at them like this! Seriously they are the cutest!!
No one could pull off this tiara like Maddy can, let’s be real!
Ultimate Dad first look goals!
The table on the right might be my favorite…. Hint: the picture frame 😉
They even make candid look good!
These two have been married for 59 years!!! Wow!! I want to be them when I grow up!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Gruwell!!! <3
